Keiki Scholarship Fund Campaign

Over the years, Manifest Youth Sailing Foundation, which is part of the Na Hoa Holomoku Sailing Club on Hilo Bay, has had a profound impact on countless children, and we are now pleased to announce an opportunity to help our keiki to get out on the water and honor one of our beloved club members who dreamed of sailing the world but was taken from us too soon.

Graham Shure left his home in Maryland at 21 years of age. He traveled to Hawai’i and made that his home for six years. Graham had a strong interest in sailing and wished to sail around the world. He joined the Na Hoa Holomoku of Hawai’i Yacht Club to hone his skills. Graham’s life was cut short before he could fulfill his dream. Please consider donating to Manifest Youth Sailing Foundation to help support other young people fulfill their dreams.

We have seen shy and introverted kids come out of their shells and become confident leaders on the water. We have watched as children with learning disabilities or behavioral issues find a sense of calm and focus while sailing, and we have seen the joy and excitement on the faces of children who never thought they would have such an opportunity

These skills are not only important on the water, but also translate to other areas of their lives, such as school, sports, and relationships! By donating to our Graham Shure Memorial Scholarship Fund, you are not only giving children the opportunity to sail but also helping them develop important life skills that will serve them well in the future.

Coach Rhonda, who is the head coach, along with all of the staff are some of the most amazing people you will ever meet! They put their heart and soul into every child that comes, ensuring that every child not only has the best time of their life but is also challenged to learn and grow! Coach Rhonda is so invested in these kids that she often takes on a lot of the costs herself to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to sail!

As many of you know, sailing comes with many costs, your support will allow us to provide scholarships to children who may not have the chance to sail otherwise by keeping those costs down. Let’s help Rhonda and her amazing team make sure that no child is left behind!
